Schochet Solomon, LLP is a boutique law firm with a statewide presence specializing in workers’ compensation defense and employment related litigation. With over 60 years of combined workers’ compensation experience, the Firm is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients in all aspects of workers’ compensation law including the defense of Labor Code Section 132(a) discrimination claims and Labor Code Section 4553 Serious and Willful Misconduct claims. Additionally, Schochet Solomon, LLP has a strong presence in the expanding field of Alternative Dispute Resolution claims (ADR) within the workers’ compensation arena including iron workers, electricians, laborers, operator engineers and multiple janitorial programs. Our clients include self-insured employers, insurance companies and third party administrators. This wide range of clientele has given us the perspective to recognize that not all clients want, or need, the same type of service. All legal management is individually tailored to fit the specific needs of each client. Our goal is to provide the highest quality legal representation through aggressive and responsive representation of our clients’ needs. Attorneys

Daniel C. Schochet graduated from the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California in 1980. He began handling workers’ compensation matters on behalf of applicants from 1994 to 2002. From 2002 to 2010 he was an associate attorney at Shiney & Fargo, where he defended workers' compensation matters on behalf of employers, insurance carriers and third party administrators. From 2010 to 2015, he was a senior associate at Wenderoff Solomon, LLP where he exclusively defended workers’ compensation matters. In mid 2015, Mr. Schochet joined with Mark B. Solomon and formed Schochet Solomon, LLP. In addition to achieving numerous “take nothing” decisions, Mr. Schochet has extensive involvement in the development and practice of Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs for Workers’ Compensation Claims and is a frequent lecturer regarding the implementation and handling of ADR claims.


Mark B. Solomon graduated Cum Laude from Syracuse University in 1972 and graduate first in class (Valedictorian) in 1977 from San Francisco Law School, in addition to being Chairman of the Moot Court Competition and Editor in Chief of Res Ipsa Loquitur (the school newspaper). From 1978 to 1979, Mr. Solomon handled domestic and family law matters, personal injury and transactional matters. In 1979 he joined the firm of Evans, Dalbey & Cumming as an associate attorney where he exclusively defended workers’ compensation claims on behalf of insurance companies, third party administrators and self-insured employers. From 1981 to 2006, Mr. Solomon was the founding partner of Jacobs & Solomon, with a practice devoted exclusively to workers’ compensation defense. In 2006 Mr. Solomon became a founding partner of Wenderoff Solomon, LLP, with a practice devoted exclusively to workers’ compensation defense representing universities, hospitals, nursing homes, the aerospace industry, banks, grocery chains and CIGA. In August of 2015, Mr. Solomon joined with Daniel C. Schochet as a founding partner of Schochet Solomon, LLP. Mr. Solomon is actively involved in presenting continuing education to the workers’ compensation community and is a frequent lecturer in workers’ compensation matters.
